Entrepreneur pitches business idea to Ashwini Vaishnaw on tissue paper in flight | Here's what happened next – India TV News

Kolkata news: A hurriedly scribbled business proposal on a paper napkin (tissue paper) presented to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on a flight was all it took for entrepreneur Akshay Satnaliwala to land a meeting with top railway officials- the call coming within six minutes of landing in Kolkata.

The businessman dealing in solid waste management was on the same Delhi-Kolkata flight as the minister on February 2 (Friday). Satnaliwala hastily wrote a proposal on a paper napkin as it was the only piece of paper he could find at the time, and managed to hand it over to Railway Minister Vaishnaw.
Entrepreneur Satnaliwala received call from Eastern Railway
To his surprise, he received a call from the Eastern Railway (ER) general manager's office within six minutes of landing, and a meeting was scheduled on February 6 (Tuesday).
“Sir, if you allow, I would like to present how railways can be an integral part of the supply chain for AFR (alternative fuel and raw material) to cement plants, and also contribute to our Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan,” Satnaliwala had said in the hand-written note.
