Shark Tank India 3: Food Brands That Impressed Judges On The Show – Slurrp

Shark Tank India is a reality show in which entrepreneurs across India pitch their business ideas to established sharks in return for their monetary investment and time. In season three, some of the food brands managed to leave sharks impressed. See how many cracked a deal. 
The internet is filled with people trying to make it in this world, and it has proven to be useful for many businesses. Many times you come across a business on social media platforms, and it seems to be offering you great deals and a variety of edible products that all the mainstream brand names you know of. Shark Tank India season 3 is no different. The latest season’s panel includes Vineeta Singh, Ritesh Aggarwal, Namita Thapar, Radhika Gupta, Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Deepinder Goyal, Ronnie Screwvala, Azhar Iqbal, Amit Jain, and Anupam Mittal. 
Being a reality show for entrepreneurs, it witnesses participants across all genres. In the last two seasons, many food brands came, impressed the judges, and struck quite good deals, while others went home with a lesson and promised to grow their business by leaps and bounds.
While many assume that starting a food business is a cakewalk, this show tells you how hard business owners work to get their idea to touch new heights quarter after quarter. 
A few participants showcased on the show that it is about persistence, hard work, and keeping a strong approach no matter what the world throws at you. Here are some of the food-related pitches that were introduced on the show this season.
The Cinnamon Kitchen

Started by Priyasha Saluja with just Rs 50,000 is a brand that sells plant-based baked goods. From cookies, spreads, and dry cake to fudge, chips, and whatnot, this food brand is a paradise for vegans struggling to find options that are pocket-friendly and taste delicious. Saluja impressed the judges with her persistent pitching and go-getter attitude. She sealed the deal with Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, for a Rs 60 lakh investment at 5% equity stakes.  
Pizza Galleria

Pizza Galleria is a first-of-its-kind vegetarian pizza outlet in India. Founded by Ishan Chugh and Sandeep Jangra, the chain has been making its mark across India. They started their business in Gohana, Haryana, in 2015 and now have more than 60+ outlets catering to 75 lakh customers across the country. The duo claimed to be selling 4-5 lakh pizzas every month. The brand could not strike a deal with any sharks on the show, but their vision and approach to growing business were highly appreciated.

If you love cocktails and have searched about cocktail mixtures, you must have come across Bartisans, an Indian brand that takes pride in selling natural and low-calorie cocktail mixtures. It was founded by the mother-son duo Jovita and Jordan Mascarenhas. The sharks were quite impressed with their product and Vineeta Singh, CEO and co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics, even offered a deal. However, the founders could not accept it and went home without a deal.
Dil Foods

Dil Foods is a company that is helping restaurants stay afloat by helping them opt for online food delivery via their services. Based out of Bengaluru, they are virtual restaurant operators. Started by Arpita, the business has signed deals with around 65 local restaurants in the city. The founder managed to crack a deal for Rs 2 crores with four sharks on board.

Tiggle

Tiggle is a dairy-free plant-based chocolate drinks brand started by Anuva Kakkar in 2021. She started selling hot chocolate outside metro stations and built a profitable and scalable business out of it. Anuva managed to impress the judges with her drinks, and she cracked a joint deal with Peyush Bansal, CEO and co-founder of Lenskart, and Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of CarDekho. 
Zorko

Started by two brothers, Anand Nahar and Amrit Nahar, Zorko is an affordable vegetarian fast-food chain with more than 150 outlets in at least 42 cities in India. They made the sharks taste their burgers, mocktails, and other delicacies that are popular among its customers. Despite their best efforts, they could not manage to strike a deal with Aman Gupta for Rs 1.5 crores.
